About Stages:

Stages is a non-denominational theater company that has cultivated children’s interest in the arts for the past 29 years!

 

Our Annual Musical Theater Summer Workshop:

Our two-week Musical Theater Summer Workshop welcomes rising 2nd through 12th graders and provides instruction in singing, acting, and dancing. Each session ends with a fully staged performance at the Fair Lawn Community Center. 

 

Our staff:

Director: Christine Knitel (Music teacher, Fair Lawn Public Schools)

Musical Director: Eric Knitel (Music teacher, Lyndhurst Public Schools)

Choreographer: Dawn Greene (Language arts teacher, Academy of Our Lady, Glen Rock)

Auditions for Placement:

Our “Un-Audition” model provides the opportunity for us to hear each child perform so we can best highlight their special qualities in our production. You may also sign up your child without an audition. Everyone who would like to participate will be cast in our show. 

 

Audition Dates:

AUDITONS HAVE CONCLUDED FOR SUMMER STAGES 2024.

Please have your child memorize 16-32 bars (a verse and refrain) of a song and bring an accompaniment track on a Bluetooth-compatible device or sheet music for your audition.

(Did we mention that the lyrics must be MEMORIZED?)

Rehearsals:

July 9-16, 2024: 9am-4pm at the St. Anne Church Hall

• Grades 2-6: 9am-2pm

• Grades 7-12: 11am-4pm

July 17-18, 2024: 9am-3pm and 6pm-9pm (all ages) at the George Frey Center for Arts and Recreation

July 19, 2024: 9 am-3 pm at the George Frey Center for Arts and Recreation

Performances:

July 19 & 20, 2024 at 7:30 pm at the George Frey Center for Arts and Recreation

and July 20, 2024 at 3:00 pm at the George Frey Center for Arts and Recreation

Tuition:

A $100 non-refundable deposit at auditions holds your child's place in our program with the total tuition being $550.
